NEO St. Petersburg Competency Center, a research and development group created to support the NEO core and wider ecosystem, is co-organizing, sponsoring, and judging a NEO hackathon on December 8th and 9th in St. Petersburg, Russia.
NSPCC was introduced to the world at the NEO St. Petersburg community meetup on November 30th, 2018, and it is developing a distributed file storage project for the NEO blockchain.
St. Petersburg Hackathon
The hackathon participants will be pursuing two goals:
- Design an idea that can be served by NEO’s digital economy;
- Create a prototype of a smart contract implementation for the service on the NEO blockchain using Python, C#, or Javascript
NSPCC announced that “The best teams will form ready-made startups that can take part in live projects. And also will receive measures of support from the business community, the urban environment and the state.” Winners will also receive shares of a NeoGAS prize pool, equal in value to US $5,000.
NSPCC is serving as the technical judge of the event. Results will be announced on the evening of December 9th, 2018.
