The Hackathon portion of the Polaris Launchpad begins this week as the Planathon comes to a close. Neo Global Development is hosting a new series of workshops to help participants as they begin to build out their projects.
The Polaris Launchpad consists of three phases: Planathon, Hackathon, and Polaris Plus. The Planathon allowed teams to submit a project plan and receive feedback before the Hackathon phase began. The Hackathon portion is the time of the event dedicated to building out applications for submission. In Polaris Plus, the Neo community will be able to donate GAS to projects, and these “votes” will be used to determine grant funding from NGD through a quadratic formula.
The submission period for the Hackathon portion of the Polaris Launchpad will close on Monday, May 9.
Polaris Launchpad Workshops
Hackathon participants can expect to receive hands-on support from Neo’s international developer community to help them bring their projects to life during the Polaris Launchpad. As part of the event, NGD has been hosting technical workshops on its official Discord server to share insights from the developers who’ve been working with Neo N3 the longest. The workshops for the rest of this week include:
- 2:00 p.m. (UTC) on April 12: COZ’s Tyler Adams, PROPS deep dive: smart contracts and developer frameworks to boost your project
- 2:00 p.m. (UTC) on April 13: NGD Enterprise’s Harry Pierson, C# smart contract tutorial
- 2:00 p.m. (UTC) on April 14: Rentfuse’s Michael Fabozzi, Wallet integration with the Neo Wallet Adapter
During the week of April 4, NGD hosted four workshops. The first focused on some lesser-known features of the Neo Blockchain Toolkit, followed by smart contract development in Python, Go, and Java programming languages. Recordings of all Polaris technical workshops can be found on Neo’s official YouTube channel.
