Neo Global Development has re-launched its ambassador program, NeoPod, following the release of the Neo X EVM sidechain. NeoPod is a structured rewards program that empowers dedicated community members to help expand the reach of the Neo multi-chain ecosystem.

Initially launched in 2022, the revamped NeoPod program will offer numerous tasks for individuals with varied backgrounds, skill sets, and availability. From sharing social media posts to spinning up a regional community, there’s an opportunity for everyone to earn GAS rewards.

Alongside GAS rewards, the most active members might also be invited to regional and industry Neo events, such as the Neo Community Assembly.

The NeoPod program is managed on Zealy, and allows users to collect points by completing various tasks to help the ecosystem. NeoPod members can attain three core ambassador ranks (denoted by Discord roles) that offer opportunities to earn rewards: Operator, Sentinel, and Architect.

By default, all members of the official Neo Discord are granted the role of Initiate before joining the NeoPod program or performing any tasks.

Ranks

Upon joining Neo’s Zealy, members can start performing basic tasks to earn points, including sharing social media posts, following new projects, and creating new content (i.e., videos, infographics, and tutorials). Once enough points have been acquired to reach Level 2 on Zealy, NeoPod members will be granted the Operator role, which entitles them to compete for monthly GAS rewards. Each month the Top 10 Operators will share from a pool of GAS valued at US $1,000.

The following rank is the Sentinel, offered to Operators who’ve achieved a Top 10 Zealy position. There are two main differences between Operators and Sentinels.

First, Sentinels can perform more advanced tasks such as technical “missions” like hosting workshops, writing tutorials, and contributing to Neo documentation. They can also conduct community missions such as helping new members onboard into Neo, proposing social events (on or offline), translating Neo content, and writing articles or Twitter threads. Sentinels can also contribute to business-related missions like reaching out to new dApps or developer communities to build on Neo, or to media platforms to cover the ecosystem.

Second, Sentinels have the ability to convert Zealy points directly for GAS. 1,000 Zealy points can be exchanged for 10 GAS at this level.

The highest NeoPod rank is the Architect, which grants the individual a monthly stipend from NGD (determined on a case-by-case basis). An Architect is a member who has demonstrated their capability to contribute to the ecosystem, leadership, and a track record of seeing ideas through from beginning to completion. An Architect must hold the role of Sentinel for at least three months before they can be invited for a promotion. After moving up, the Architect will mentor the Operator and Sentinel ranks, be given resources to lead regional communities, represent Neo at conferences or as a liaison in media, and may be invited to events such as the Neo Community Assembly.
