Switcheo Network has announced the launch of its exchange API. Switcheo is a decentralised exchange built on the NEO blockchain that facilitates the exchange of system assets such as NEO and GAS, along with NEP-5 tokens.

The API will enable developers to pull information from the exchange, such as historical data and statistics, as well as execute functions that require authentication such as: trades, offers, deposits and withdrawals.

The API document can be found at the below link:

API Development Competition

To support the launch of the API, Switcheo is also holding a developer contest with 1,000,000 SWTH in prizes to be won. Switcheo hopes that the competition will “encourage developers to share the use of our API and foster a strong development community around Switcheo Exchange.”

The competition requires developers to build software that utilizes the exchange API. Some of the suggested projects include: API SDKs, wrapper libraries, trading or arbitrage bots, statistic dashboards, and integration of the API into existing trading bot libraries.

Participants are encouraged to join the Switcheo Network Developer Slack to discuss ideas and find technical support.

10 winners will be selected to receive the following prizes:

  • 1st: 500,000 SWTH + 1 Customised Ledger + 1 Switcheo Pullover
  • 2nd: 250,000 SWTH + 1 Customised Ledger + 1 Switcheo Pullover
  • 3rd: 150,000 SWTH +1 Customised Ledger + 1 Switcheo Pullover
