Switcheo has announced it will be hosting a two-week trading competition using Alchemint’s SDUSD stable coin. Prior to the competition, the decentralized exchange (DEX) will undergo scheduled maintenance, which will include addition of six new stable coin pairings.

In November of 2018, Switcheo launched the Callisto update and added the functionality to trade Ethereum ERC-20 tokens on the exchange. The next month, Alchemint launched the NEO ecosystem’s first stable coin, SDUSD, where it first listed on the Switcheo DEX.

Switcheo will be adding two NEP-5 (SWTH/SDUSD, SDS/SDUSD) and four ERC-20 (ETH/PAX, DAI/PAX, USDC/PAX, MKR/PAX) stable coin pairings to its exchange.  The pairings can be read about at the link below:

In preparation of the new listings, Switcheo will be down for scheduled maintenance on Monday, January 14th, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm (UTC +8).

SDUSD Trading Competition

Switcheo Exchange will host an SDUSD trading competition beginning at 12:00 pm (UTC+8) Tuesday, January 15th and ending at 12:00 pm (UTC +8) Monday, February 4th, 2019.

Winners will be determined by their trading volumes across the NEO/SDUSD, SWTH/SDUSD, and SDS/SDUSD trading pairs. Participants who’ve traded a minimum of 500 SDUSD on the SWTH/SDUSD trading pair will automatically be added to the “lucky draw” pool.

The total prize pool consists of 500 NEO, 1,000,000 SWTH, and 800,000 SDS.

Rewards will be allocated in the following manner:

  • 1st Place: 150 NEO, 150,000 SWTH, and 200,000 SDS
  • 2nd Place: 100 NEO, 100,000 SWTH, and 150,000 SDS
  • 3rd Place: 50 NEO, 50,000 SWTH, and 100,000 SDS
  • 4th – 10th Place: share pool of 200 NEO, 200,000 SWTH, and 350,000 SDS
  • Plus, 25 “lucky draw” winners will share a pool of 500,000 SWTH
