UPDATE 3:44 AM (UTC): Da has regained control of his account.
Neo founder Da Hongfei’s X (formerly Twitter) account, @dahongfei, has been compromised and is currently under the control of a hacker. The compromised account is actively tweeting about fraudulent airdrops in an attempt to steal funds from token holders.
The attack was first flagged at 4:20 p.m. (UTC) on July 6, 2024. Since then, the Neo team has been working to address the situation. The account is still under the control of the hacker at time of writing.
Please note that Da’s Twitter account was compromised starting at 00:20 AM on July 7th (UTC+8).

All Neo community members and token holders are advised to avoid clicking any links posted by the compromised account until further notice. The tweets related to these fraudulent airdrops are not legitimate and could lead to potential security threats.
