NeoPod hosted its fourth community AMA on July 26, featuring Frank, creator of FrankCoin and World of Elements, in a text-based Discord session covering his journey from competitive gamer to Neo ecosystem builder, the multiplayer transformation of his game, and the impact of Neo’s governance challenges on grassroots projects.

The session follows previous AMAs with NNT’s Dylan Grabowski, Aziz of NeoRedPill, and COZ’s Tyler Adams, continuing NeoPod’s series of in-depth conversations with figures across the Neo ecosystem.

Frank, 38, is based in Germany and holds a bachelor’s degree in Culture and Technology. A competitive gamer who reached Legend rank in Hearthstone and Unreal rank in Fortnite, he entered crypto nine years ago drawn by the technology and financial opportunity. He initially explored Enjin’s cross-game NFT vision but was deterred by Ethereum fees, leading him to Neo’s low-cost, fast-transaction environment.

Building on Neo

Frank’s entry to the Neo ecosystem came through Forthewin Network’s TestNet meme token competition in 2022, where participants minted memecoins using FTW Smith and created pools on FTW Swap. Frank won the competition, receiving funding that seeded FrankCoin’s deployment. The community token has since grown to roughly 800 Telegram members and 2,800 X followers, with several hundred community events organized since launch.

Frank operates World of Elements alongside Neoboy, who handles moderation, game mastering, and community management. On the scale of the operation, Frank said:

“We’re a very small team, but we’ve managed to achieve quite a lot over the years.”

World of Elements goes multiplayer

World of Elements, a free-to-play 2D RPG built on Neo N3 using RPG Maker MV, is undergoing a major transformation from single-player to multiplayer. A GrantShares proposal approved unanimously in May 2026 secured 1,200 GAS for the expansion, providing a 180-day development runway.

Frank posted a month-one progress update on July 1, reporting that he is on schedule. The multiplayer test server at worldofelements.de already supports login and registration in a shared persistent world, PvP combat, a party system, player-to-player trading, chat, and a daily dungeon system where testers earn crypto rewards. As NNT previously reported, anti-cheat measures were a major focus of the first month of development.

The TestNet build currently supports wallet login through NeoLine, Neon Wallet, and MetaMask. Month two plans include free deposit and withdrawal of crypto assets, in-game display of holdings, NFT creation for rare items, and Neo X integration for cosmetic item purchases.

Founder dispute’s grassroots impact

Frank was candid about the toll Neo’s co-founder disagreement has taken on community projects. He said the ongoing dispute has accelerated a decline in community activity at a time when the broader crypto market was already struggling:

“Unfortunately, I have to say that the founders’ issues have also had an impact on FrankCoin and World of Elements. The overall crypto market hasn’t been in great shape, and the ongoing disagreements at the top have only accelerated the decline in community activity.”

He singled out the collapse of FUSD on Flamingo Finance as a direct hit to FrankCoin’s price, noting that it undermined marketing and community growth efforts. Still, Frank expressed belief in Neo’s long-term prospects:

“I think it still has huge potential, if our two founders could finally work together again.”

Why Neo works for games

Frank pointed to Neo’s multi-language smart contract support as a key factor in his decision to build on the platform, particularly its JavaScript compatibility, which aligned with RPG Maker MV’s scripting environment.

“I think one of the biggest reasons is Neo’s support for multiple programming languages, especially JavaScript,” he said. “Additionally, Neo became even more competitive with its three-second block-time upgrade, particularly for projects building on Neo N3.”

He also credited GrantShares as a launchpad for grassroots development. FrankCoin and World of Elements have received three successful GrantShares proposals since 2023, funding NFT holder rewards, blockchain integration, and the current multiplayer expansion.

“Having access to funding and community support can make all the difference when you’re trying to turn an idea into reality,” Frank said.

NFTs and future plans

Frank said the team is considering character minting as NFTs but is still working through implementation details, including whether minted characters would carry progression data or function as cosmetic skins only. At minimum, he committed to in-game skins as NFTs with free player trading.
