Neo Global Development embarked on the third week of the Decoding Web3 USA Campus Tour, visiting with students and blockchain clubs at the University of California – Los Angeles, University of Southern California, and University of California – San Diego.
Draper University announced that five Neo ecosystem projects will participate in an upcoming Demo Day, showcasing Blockchain Cuties, Rentfuse, Greenfinch, Sunday Games, and Calamus Finance. Registration for the event can be found here.
TOTHEMOON revealed the eligibility requirements for its second Moon Device Opportunity, which will unlock unique free mints of forthcoming special TTM NFT collections. TTM also announced the First Quarter Phase Mint will take place at 7:00 p.m. (UTC) on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Each mint will cost 15 GAS and the user will receive one of the 7,800 Character NFTs at random. Additionally, TTM will conduct a 10-Day First Quarter Giveaway Event to distribute an NFT each day for interacting with the team’s Twitter posts.
GhostMarket announced that the team is giving away 15,000 GM tokens as part of its Halloween social promotion, while another 10,000 GM is up for grabs via its monthly art competition. The Halloween Giveaway will see five prizes of 1,500 GM and ten prizes of 750 GM awarded to lucky entrants.
GrantShares proposal Talking about Neo Latin America was put forth and is under discussion, while the tProof proposal expired after remaining unendorsed.
Arctic Wallet added support for NEO to its desktop non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet available for Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
NGD Enterprise lead John deVadoss joined the Stack Overflow podcast to talk about the convergence of technology, economics and social trends, service-based architecture, decentralized finance, and how blockchain combines technology and economic incentives into a holistic equation.
Web3 Italia hosted its first meetup in Rome, Italy on Oct. 20, the first of its kind since the group received funding through the GrantShares DAO in July. As part of the meetup, the Web3 Italia team helped new users onboard onto Neo N3 by creating mobile wallets.
Neo Colorado hosted an informal meetup in Los Angeles, CA, alongside members from the Neo community, including Forthewin Network, COZ, NGD Enterprise, SOMNIUMWAVE, and NGD.
NudesToken released platform statistics, noting an increase in total users.
Developer Updates
COZ released Neon Wallet v 2.16.16, which included full support for NFTs on Neo N3, a new NFT gallery view, and minor bug fixes.
NNT Catch Up
NNT released episode 18 of the Smart Economy Podcast, featuring James Weybourne, COZ Chief Design Officer. Discussion topics included Weybourne’s background and industry awards for design in the health technology space, the psychology behind good UX design, how collaborative processes with various stakeholders make for successful UX design, his outlook on mainstream blockchain adoption, and more!
