General Updates
Flamingo Finance announced the Asset Support Initiative to reduce the negative impact that platform users faced due to the most recent Poly Network hack. The initiative has been designed to compensate users for 50% of their losses due to the de-pegging of f- and p-assets from their underlying tokens. Currently, the initiative is oriented to offer users compensation from a pool of up to 40 million FLOCKS, distributed over two years once the users actualize their losses. When the Poly Network bridge is live again, Flamingo plans to launch an Asset Actions page where users can migrate their current f- and p-assets to a new cross-chain asset standard. Once migrated from the old f- and p- contracts to the new cross-chain standard, the user will realize the losses and the 1:1 ratio of wrapped and underlying assets will be restored. The amount of FLOCKS the user receives will be determined by the asset’s price at the moment of the migration, regardless of any future price changes in the underlying asset. Plans are not finalized as of press time and are subject to change as further investigations and negotiations unfold.
Neo Global Development will host a booth and activation at the WebX conference, participate in a panel at WebX, sponsor a track prize at the ETH Tokyo hackathon, and co-host multiple afterparties. In the NFI-enabled game BlockSpirits, WebX booth visitors will receive a physical card and tap-scan it to unlock a character. Once unlocked, booth attendees can battle their characters against others by scanning their QR code to engage in gameplay. At ETH Tokyo, Neo is sponsoring a Neo X track and offering the winner a US $1,000 grant prize and potential support from the Elevate Program.
nDapp.org rolled out a series of updates to enhance user experience and functionality, including an initial Neo X integration, support for the NeoLine wallet Chrome extension, and new reference periods for dApp statistics. Several Neo X dApps, including Carrot Swap, ZNS Connect, and AsteroNEO, and one app, OwlX, have already been listed.
Carrot Swap launched its AMM-based non-custodial exchange on the Neo X EVM sidechain MainNet. The Neo X-based DEX offers users cross-chain bridging, swapping, and liquidity pool provision. Currently, users can swap or provide liquidity with MainNet assets, including GAS, NDMEME, xMATIC, and xBNB. LPs will also earn CRT tokens as rewards. Additionally, individuals can migrate MATIC or BNB from their respective blockchains to the Neo X network.
Carrot Swap integrated support for The Graph protocol, which will help the DEX organize and access its data on the Neo X blockchain.
GhostMarket added support for Carrot Swap to its multi-chain NFT marketplace. This allows users to purchase NFTs using Neo X tokens other than the currency requested on a listing. The implementation is designed to reduce user friction when buying, bidding, and placing offers on NFTs that reside on the Neo EVM sidechain.
Asteroneo introduced an Airdrop Points System designed to reward early users as the platform continues to develop on the Neo X chain. This initiative offers participants opportunities to earn points that will later convert into allocations of the ASTR token once it is officially released. The program launched Aug. 23, and is structured across three seasons, each with unique activities and point multipliers aimed at driving engagement.
NeoDashboard released instructional videos on purchasing tokens on the Carrot Swap DEX and accessing and using NeoBurger.
Frank Coin hosted a community quiz on the team’s official Telegram channel, where the top three participants each won 80 FLM, and ten random winners each won 45 FRANK tokens. Frank Coin also hosted a second community quiz with the same reward structure.
