Neo re-launched its ambassador program, NeoPod, following the release of the Neo X EVM sidechain. NeoPod is a structured rewards program that empowers dedicated community members to help expand the reach of the Neo multi-chain ecosystem. The program offers numerous tasks for individuals with varied backgrounds, skill sets, and availability. From sharing social media posts to spinning up a regional community, there’s an opportunity for everyone to earn GAS rewards. Alongside GAS rewards, the most active members might also be invited to regional and industry Neo events, such as the Neo Community Assembly.

Neo released the general monthly report for May and June, which noted the partnership with the Fansland Web3 music festival, the addition of the learn-to-earn style MelkBot into the official Discord server, NEO and GAS pairs added to Upbit Korea, Neo N3 upgrades, Assisterr winning the Neo Bounty Prize at the BeWater AI Crypto Hackathon, and new projects that joined the Neo X ecosystem.

Blocksec released its audit of Neo X, finding three potential issues in the smart contracts that were subsequently fixed. Issues included a possible denial-of-service attack vector, insufficient validation for P2P network messages, and a lack of a time lock mechanism.

Secur3 announced it has wrapped up its audit on Neo X and will soon release a detailed report.

OKCoin Japan added support for the NEO/JPY trading market on its custodial exchange. NEO was listed on the exchange in June after receiving regulatory approval from the Japanese Financial Services Agency.

GhostMarket integrated support for Neo X into its cross-chain NFT marketplace, marking the platform’s eighth blockchain integration. The development team has deployed all ten of its smart contracts on Neo X, and now users can buy, sell, and trade NFTs on GhostMarket. In addition to NFT standards, GhostMarket has also deployed its EVM-based fungible token, trading, royalties, incentives, staking, vesting, LP, proxy, and wrapper contracts on Neo X.

Asteroneo released documentation for its forthcoming non-custodial exchange built on Neo X. Asteroneo is based on the Uniswap V2 code, offering an AMM model for users to create LPs and trade between them. The documentation includes information about connecting to Neo X, fee pricing mechanisms, proposed use cases for the ASTR token, and the launchpad to help new projects create and distribute tokens.

Neobox concluded its NEOBOX NEP-17 token pre-sale event, raising approximately 778 bNEO, 103 GAS, and 108 NEO.

Frank Coin hosted a series of livestreams and events for the Neo community. The first livestream focused on the launch of Neo X, the Neobox Telegram app, and World of Elements. A second livestream centered on the broader cryptocurrency market and the Neo ecosystem. Additionally, Frank Coin also facilitated a community quiz on the team’s official Telegram channel, where the top three participants each won 80 FLM, and ten random winners each won 50 FRANK tokens.

Flamingo shared statistics on the FLUND single-sided staking token for week 29 of 2024, noting approximately US $6.33 million in total value, $3.65 million in total minting rewards, and $676,000 in total trading fee rewards.

Developer Updates

NeoSPCC released the team’s second Neo v3.7.5-compatible update, bringing several bug fixes, new APIs, and feature enhancements.

AxLabs released neow3j v3.23.0, which included three breaking changes for the SDK and one for the devpack.

COZ released a roadmap for Neon Wallet v3, which includes a redesign of the wallet, a new multi-wallet architecture for managing wallets across different blockchain networks, support for Ethereum and Neo X, and planned improvements through Q2 2025. New features will include wallet skins for non-fungible item holders, Ledger support for multiple accounts, cross-chain atomic swap functionality, self-custodial identity management, and a fiat on- and off-ramp.
