NEO Global Development (NGD) announced an upcoming meetup to take place in Berlin, Germany, on Tuesday, August 20th. Speakers at the event will include Da Hongfei, NEO co-founder, John Wang, head of NEO ecosystem growth, and Longfei Wang, NGD blockchain developer. Noted topics of discussion are the next phase of NEO, the EcoBoost program, and the NEO developer experience.
NEO core developers, Jaime Kindelan Alonso and Fernando Díaz Toledano, conducted a workshop on developing smart contracts on NEO at the Barcelona Trading Conference.

TECHFUND, a Japanese technology accelerator, launched support for the NEO blockchain in Accel BaaS. Accel BaaS (Blockchain as a Service) is a cloud-based service designed to assist the adoption of blockchain technology for enterprises by providing simplified access to nodes, APIs, and the contract deployment process.
In June, NEO token holders received a SEAS token airdrop from the Smart Exchange Architect (SEA) Foundation. The airdrop was distributed to increase awareness about the SEA intelligent asset management platform, which seeks to provide its users with various peer-to-peer digital asset management services. For each 100 NEO that a user held in a private wallet, 1 SEAS token was airdropped. A total of 1,000,000 SEAS were set aside for the airdrop.
Developer Groups
NewEconoLabs (NEL) founder Bruce Liu and the NEL development group announced the launch of FutureDAO, a project that aims to create an efficient and responsible “next generation of financing” for equity crowdfunding. Projects that operate using FutureDAO will be funded at a rate controlled by its token holders. Token holders will also have the option to cancel project funding through a vote and refund investors.
Ecosystem
July 8th, Switcheo announced the listing of Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) markets onto its non-custodial exchange. The first two trading pairs in Switcheo’s WBTC markets are NEO/WBTC and ETH/WBTC.
July 8th, NEO and GAS was listed on the Lykke exchange, which offers NEO and GAS trading pairs with USD, EUR, and BTC.
July 9th, Jarvis+ released its bi-weekly report, which highlighted its WeChat application development, the launch of a community robot for KuCoin, and further details on a hackathon that will be co-hosted with Microsoft. Jarvis+ also announced a partnership with the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), who will collaborate on future projects, research, and tasks.
July 9th, nOS announced the five winners of its nOS ID Developer Competition and summarized the winning projects.
July 9th, Endorsit released its weekly report, which highlighted progress on its Android, iOS, and web apps, as well as outlining incentives for its user test group.
July 9th, QLC Chain released the reward structure for its upcoming Confidant bug bounty program. The program will run from July 10th through September 30th, and users will receive rewards through their NEP-5 wallet public address.
July 10th, Narrative distributed its rewards for June. This rewards payout, Narrative’s second, is denominated in “Reward Points,” which will be made redeemable 1:1 for NRVE tokens beginning in the week of July 15th, 2019. 1,288,770 Reward Points were issued in June, with a value of over US $10,000 at press time.
July 10th, Novem minted its first 2.1 million NNN tokens. NNN is backed by physical gold, which is stored at a Loomis facility in Frankfurt, Germany.
July 10th, Magic Cube released its monthly report for June, which highlighted interviews, new listings, events attended, upcoming game releases, and progress on cross-chain interoperability.
July 10th, Switcheo became an “A+ Verified Exchange” on Nomics.com, certifying that the “exchange is ‘fully transparent’ with respect to trade data granularity and history.”
July 11th, Travala announced an investment from the NEO EcoFund, which was established in 2017 to assist the development and growth of projects in the NEO ecosystem. Travala aims to use the funds for global growth, marketing, and talent acquisition. Looking forward, Travala will integrate more blockchain technology into its platform. Examples include on-chain transactions, loyalty and rewards points, and a smart contract for blockchain reviews.
July 11th, Bridge Protocol announced that Aver, a digital identity and document verification service, is joining the Bridge Marketplace. The marketplace is where identity requests can be matched with verification providers. Payments can be rendered in NEP-5 BRDG tokens to “provide a seamless solution for blockchain digital identity.”
July 11th, QLC Chain announced its mobile wallet, Q-Wallet, launched on the Apple Store and Google Play. The mobile wallet allows users to stake their NEP-5 QLC tokens and receive QLC MainNet QGAS tokens as a reward.
July 11th, Alchemint distributed GAS accumulated by the stablecoin issuance platform’s users in June.
July 12th, Switcheo concluded its HODL Lite campaign and distributed all associated rewards. The promotion intended to celebrate the first anniversary of Switcheo Exchange’s launch on the NEO blockchain’s MainNet.
July 13th, NeoWorld released its schedule for a series of building auctions leading up to the opening of new territories in the NEOLAND game. The auction will be conducted in a closed bid format. The schedule includes a variety of buildings to be auctioned July 15th through July 20th.
