General Updates

Neo Global Development released the Community Development video update from AxLabs, COZ, NNT, NEXT, NeoResearch, Neo SPCC, NGD Digital Labs, R3E Network, and Red4Sec. The videos include community updates on their various projects and responsibilities for April and May 2023.

NGD opened registration for the Tokyo GAS Station, which will take place at CryptoBase Tokyo on July 22 and 23. Participants will compete for US $12k in grants and prizes, and ultimately for support from a fund of $1 million allocated for incubation opportunities.

NGD hosted a developer workshop for the APAC Hackathon tour, led by Neo SPCC software engineer Anna. The workshop focused on coding smart contracts in the Go programming language.

NGD will host a workshop for Python smart contract development, to be conducted by COZ software developer Erik van den Brink. The YouTube-based webinar is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. (UTC) on July 18.

Polychain Monsters released 11,111 booster pack NFTs on the Neo N3 blockchain, and announced a staking rewards program and an upcoming Neo N3 tournament.

Unlocking the Chain joined the GhostMarket Twitter Spaces to talk about making videos about the Neo ecosystem and its dApps, the inspiration behind them, future videos that will be released on the YouTube channel, additional content UTC might create, and more.

GrantShares proposal Renewed iOS SDK (Milestone 3 of 3) was put onchain. The proposal has since been endorsed by Neo News Today and is awaiting further votes.

Flamingo released statistics for FLUND, noting a total value of approximately $6.63 million, total minting rewards of $2.2 million, and total trading fee rewards of $375,000. Additionally, Flamingo is hosting the next Community Lagoon AMA  on its official Discord server at 1:00 p.m. (UTC) on July 25.

Perlin Finance launched a new landing page for the forthcoming decentralized money market built on the Neo N3 blockchain.

Developer Updates

COZ hosted Boa Day to celebrate the launch of the first production version of its Python smart contract compiler for Neo N3. The team held several activities to celebrate the v1.0.0 release, including a hackable contract challenge. Winning participants were rewarded with a Boa Day NFT or a commemorative Tribeca Festival OneBand ring. Winners are urged to keep the OneBand rings safe, as they will likely be used in future events and activations.

COZ added support for NeoNS on the Neon Wallet, which allows users to add new contacts using a NeoNS name and inputting a NeoNS instead of an alphanumeric public address when sending assets.
