Neo co-founders, Da Hongfei and Erik Zhang, participated in a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) and answered questions from the community, which were collected over 24 hours. In the AMA, the pair responded to inquiries about Neo3, developer attraction and retainment, decentralized finance (DeFi), and stablecoins, in addition to other topics.

Neo Global Development (NGD) head of marketing, Yuan Gao, participated in episode 16 of the Neo News Today podcast. Discussion topics included Yuan’s background, the structure of the NGD Shanghai marketing team, the Neo brand refresh, and Neo’s approach to communicating with the international community.

NGD head of EcoGrowth, John Wang, participated in a Telegram AMA co-hosted with Celer Network, a second layer solution provider.

NGD announced NeoFest, a conference-style event that will showcase seven projects and partners within the Neo ecosystem. NeoFest will take place from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm on Thursday, November 14th, in Singapore, SG. Ecosystem partners include Guardian Circle, Novem Gold, CryptoFast, Onchain Custodian, OnTrade, Liquefy, and Higgs.

Neo announced the third anniversary Twitter giveaway campaign winners. To collect the prize, the randomly selected participants were sent a message containing further information.

Head of NGD Seattle, John deVadoss, participated in an interview with CryptoKoala.

Blocklords founder and CEO, David Johansson, participated in NGD’s English Neo Live event. In the AMA, Johansson discussed his history in the Neo ecosystem, motivation behind creating Blocklords, current development efforts, and perspective on the blockchain gaming industry.

EasyCheers launched a presale event for CryptoFast, a NEO-based hybrid between DeFi and racing game elements. Assets available for purchase in the presale must be paid for with EasyCheers token (ECT), which can be acquired by swapping NEO through the provided wallet interface. Alongside the traditional racing gameplay, the developers intend to implement DeFi-like gameplay options for players that are not interested in racing. As part of the presale, players can purchase shares in the in-game oil company, trading center, or guessing center, with shareholders earning dividends received through various mining mechanics triggered by the actions of other players.

Nash released a video of its quarterly report for Q3 2019, which focussed on operations and mobile, as well as a writeup of the event.

COZ announced the release of its new Neo3 Preview Explorer, which is “intended to help the community explore the platform and become more familiar with Neo3 features” and is poised to eventually become the new neoscan.io. The explorer allows users to observe the liveliness of the Neo3 preview TestNet, and also includes information on Neo3 features and relevant articles.

Neo St. Petersburg Competence Center (NeoSPCC) software engineer, Evgeny Stratonikov, recently gave a presentation at Golang Conf 2019 on optimizations made to homomorphic hashing functions as part of the research work done for NeoFS.

NEO-ONE released the 2.0 version of its all-in-one development suite for Neo contracts. The 2.0 release is noted to be the first production-ready build, allowing developers to deploy TypeScript smart contracts to the Neo MainNet. NEO-ONE 2.0 is the final release before the team focuses its efforts on Neo3 compatibility.

NewEconoLabs (NEL) released an article describing the AVM process and how it interacts with the NeoVM.

Ecosystem

October 21st, QLC Chain announced its Q-Wallet now offers top-up support for all of China’s mobile operators: China Mobile, China Unicom, and China Telecom. Topping up through the Q-Wallet application offers a 5% discount to China Mobile Guangdong subscribers and a 2% discount to other users across China.

October 21st, Bitcoin.com announced the acquisition of O3 Labs, where O3 members will be absorbed into Bitcoin.com and tasked with building mobile financial services for the Bitcoin Cash network.

October 21st, Yezcoin airdropped 5 YEZ tokens to every wallet containing NEO. The airdrop completed successfully; however, some network performance issues were encountered due to the large number of free transactions that required validation.

October 22nd, Alphacat released its fortnightly update, which noted an improvement in the 12-hour BTC prediction accuracy rate and a new report developed by the Alphacat California Lab.

October 22nd, SafePal, developers of the S1 hardware wallet, announced it is integrating NEO. The SafePal S1 hardware wallet has a low profile form factor, which is intended to make traveling with the device as easy as possible. It communicates with the SafePal App via an encrypted QR code solution, instead of using USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or NFC. This communication method was chosen to keep assets offline at all times.

October 23rd, Jarvis+ released a writeup of the speech its founder, Stephen Wu, delivered in September at the AI and blockchain future trends discussion at Microsoft headquarters in Shanghai, China.

October 25th, Jarvis+ released an article that defined their product: data mart. Through the processes Jarvis+ developers have developed since 2017, the team will now offer “a subset of a data warehouse oriented to a specific business line.” The intention is to build data profiles of a company’s community, in any industry vertical.

October 25th, BlocklordsBlockchain Cuties, and CardMaker were integrated with the State of the dApps website.

October 26th, Neo based projects MagicCube (MCC), Cardmaker (CAKE), and Neo Name Service (NNS) were announced as participants in a voting campaign taking place on the MXC exchange.
