NEO rose to 3rd on the The Global Public Blockchain Technology Assessment Index, led by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, CCID Institute of Research. The first round of rankings was released in May, where NEO placed 4th out of 28 evaluated projects. The report will continue to be published on a monthly basis.

Developer Groups Updates

NewEconoLabs (NEL) released the June NEO Name Service development report. The development report includes updates on the domain auction flow, optimizations to the GAS to SGAS conversion function and contract calls and the integration of NNS into the NEO wallet WeChat mini-program.

Reports and Updates

Ontology published guidelines for technical community contributions, which also includes information about compensation and the standard process for making contributions. The guidelines only focused on technical contributions, not facilitating events, community management, or document translation.

Partnerships

Alphacat partnered with FormuIA, a project that aims to build the “Internet of Assets” and is supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences. FormulA were attracted to the Alphacat platform for its patented artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the ACAT database, and the ACAT engine. 

Travala partnered with Thor, which will give Travala’s travel service providers access to the Thor workforce. Although the technical details of the partnership implementation have not been finalized, Travala aims to enable access to the Thor workforce directly from the Travala platform.

Ontology partnered with Contentos, a globally decentralized ecosystem for digital content.  The partnership will revolve around each party’s particular business expertise, blockchain research, application development, and community building processes. Ontology Global Capital plans to invest in Contentos, to help reshape the content industry and the valuation of content.

Effect.AI partnered with TrueBlocks, a South Korean-based accelerator that aims to foster rapid project growth. TrueBlocks will help Effect.AI expand into the Eastern Asian market through its media support and community development services.

QLC Chain partnered with Montnets Group, establishing a new joint venture to develop blockchain-based telecommunication services for enterprise-level adoption. The partnership will leverage QLC Chain’s innovative technology and public chain for decentralized telecommunication services.

Spotcoin partnered with Juscutum, a Ukrainian based firm that will provide the legal framework for Spotcoin to ensure full compliance with legal regulations. The two companies will coordinate on public token sale corporate structure, public token sale legal documentation, token legal design, and to obtain the necessary licenses and approvals.

Tech Updates

Neon Exchange (NEX) is seeking beta testers for its decentralized trading platform on the NEO blockchain. Lottery participants were invited to complete a survey for a chance to join the beta testing program.

nOS published a progress report detailing client MVP and nOS portal. The nOS Client is currently available on GitHub, which allows developers to build nOS applications on their own NEO PrivateNet, and access my.nos.app. My.nos.app is a nOS-based solution that allows for easy management of pre-sale access, KYC, TestNet decentralized applications (dApps), codebase contributions, and more.

Exchange Listings and Removals

COSS.io will list NEO, GAS, and NEP-5 tokens. The exchange currently trades in pairs with Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), US dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), and Great British Pounds (GBP).

KuCoin removed 8 NEO trading pairs: Ontology (ONT), Litecoin (LTC), Zeepin (ZPT), Aphelion (APH), Oyster Pearl (PRL), DeepBrain Chain (DBC), Red Pulse (RPX), and QLC Chain (QLC).`
